Professor Ian Stuart-Hamilton publishes new book on the psychology of ageing

Professor Ian Stuart-Hamilton, Head of Research and External Activity in the School of Psychology, Early Years and Therapeutic Studies, has released his latest publication entitled ‘Introduction to the Psychology of Ageing for Non-Specialists’.

Published by Kingsley Publishers, the new book focuses on the psychology of ageing for non-specialists such as social workers, care workers, nurses and medical professionals. Beginning with explanations of ageing, life expectancy and demographics, it goes on to discuss the aspects of ageing that have the most impact on people’s lives.

Professor Stuart-Hamilton, who has over thirty years’ research experience in a wide variety of psychological techniques and settings, has also published numerous research papers in ageing, child development and intellectual disability across the lifespan.
